Star-divide

A couple of quick thoughts:

  • While I personally lobbied for Oklahoma State to play in the title game based on resume, if resume is what matters, then LSU has to stay ahead of them. Nobody had a better resume this season than LSU.
  • Yes, we have Virginia Tech ahead of Clemson. Clemson finished the season with four losses, and two of them were complete and total blowouts, one to West Virginia. Virginia Tech was at least competitive in the Sugar Bowl.
  • Accuse us of bias if you will, but there's nothing irrational about ranking Rutgers, Cincinnati, and West Virginia in our final ballot. Rutgers won nine games running a pro style offense with no real quarterback to speak of. The good news for the Scarlet Knights, sixteen starters return including almost all of the defense that was so good this year. If West Virginia plays one more season in the Big East, the conference could have three ranked teams in the preseason next year (West Virginia and probably Louisville).
So, where did we blow it? Let us know in the comments below.
