Waiting in the Wings: UCF steps up in a big way in 2012 recruiting in preparation for the Big East
via i.cdn.turner.com
George O'Leary introduces what has been the best recruiting class in UCF history. The class ranks as high as #109 according to 247sports, #114 according to scout, and while rivals doesn't list beyond the top 50 UCF pulled out the #10 recruiting class of CUSA. Top ten recruiting classes are what the Big East should expect from UCF.
UCF would easily have made the top 10 recruiting class in the Big East in 2012 (and that's only 2 spots behind the Big East's #8 class Connecticut).
For the full evaluation look after the jump.
UCF's first pick up was a position of need following the regression of Jeffery Godfrey in his sophomore season. UCF got a QB out of Boulder, Colorado. Standing at a massive 18' -9" and weighing as much as 30 tons UCF picked up an actual boulder.

UCF also picked up a fresh new set of O-Line recruits from the Philippines. While many would consider recruiting o-line exclusively from foreign countries a bad idea, O'Leary sees it as the one advantage UCF can bring to any new conference. What they lack in stature and strength they certainly make up for it fashion sense and charisma.

This should set UCF up nicely for their 2013 Championship run in the Big East.
Welcome to the Big Leagues, UCF!

In other news, USF is figuring out new ways to choke in conference play
Because going 1-6 wasn’t epic enough in 2011.
Okay, somebody in the Big East has made this necessary. "BC" in my nickname references the icon. I AM NOT A BOSTON COLLEGE FAN.
