Miami Northwestern High School football coach Billy Rolle called an emergency staff meeting last fall that would delay the start of practice and leave roughly 75 players idle on the field. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater didn't want to waste time. He approached Rolle and said he and the captains could handle practice. "He came to me and said, 'Coach, we don't have to wait; we'll take the team out,' " Rolle said. "He didn't think they had to wait for us. Sure enough, when we came out to the practice field, they were done with all the pre-practice stuff."
