Report: Louisville Next In Line For Big XII Invitation
Tulsa World Columnist Dave Sittler reported this afternoon that if the Big XII is able to retain Missouri, then it will likely stay at ten teams with the addition of TCU next season. If Missouri completes its anticipated move to the SEC, then it appears that Louisville would be the next team in line to join the Big XII as it likely heads toward 12 teams and a championship game again. After Louisville, Sittler reports, BYU, West Virginia, and Tulane are also under consideration.

Dear Missouri,
Please make haste, lobby those that side with Alabama to your side and join the SEC as soon as possible. (Or you may choose to read this as " GTFO and go SEC. Now.")
Sincerely,
Louisville

BYU and Lousiville looks good
Tulane if Mizzou is out
or Tulane + Colorado State if Mizzou is in and going for 14

So you're choosing...
…all teams that probably wouldn’t compete anywhere near for the championship. Convenient.

WVU would be nice
But I see them SEC or ACC (when the SEC or big 10 raid the ACC)

I like your train of thought.
SEC would be ideal.
ACC would be great in a way, because ALL of our rivals are in the ACC now. However, while WVU academics are improving every year, we’re so far below where the ACC wants us to be it’ll never happen.
Big 12 isn’t my first choice. Not because it’s not quality, because it is, but because of geography but because Texas and Oklahoma bolting probably makes everyone involved nervous. It’s still better than the Big Least.
At least as a TTU fan you can be confident that you shouldn’t be left out of the dust and will probably be packaged with Texas, as bitchy as they are.

I'm no expert on these academic ranking things
But I seem to recall reading that WVU gets dinged on the USNWR ratings because they’ll accept pretty much anyone as it’s their mandate to make higher education available to anyone in state who wants it.
Anyway, as I’ve said before, I’d be happy to see WVU in the ACCt as there’s a lot of history there that predates the Big East and I’d hate to lose it. That and I’d love to hear Luck back pedal on his Navy/Air Force over Syracuse quips.
We will not rest until we see these capitalist octopuses annihilated.

Got it in one, sir
WVU may be an easy school to get into, but it’s a hard one to stay in. You still gotta do the work.
West Virginia fans hate everybody. They remember every snub and joke and bit of snark. And they never forgive, and they never, ever forget. In other words, they're a lot like West Virginians in general.

market and proximity
This gets them into Louisiana, and specifically, the New Orleans market, with a school that’s close.

Tulane?
Why not Rice? or Harvey Mudd?
