Three days after a felony arrest warrant was issued out, the Omaha Police Dept. has issued a statement regarding the efforts to arrest Creighton Bluejays point guard Maurice Watson Jr.
According to that statement, which was made available on Sunday afternoon, and can be found below in a tweet from Jon Nyatawa of the Omaha-World Herald, the OPD stated, “At this point in time, Mr. Watson is dodging law enforcement efforts to arrest him.”

As mentioned, a felony arrest warrant tied to a charge of first-degree sexual assault was issued to Watson back on Thursday. Attorneys for Watson publicly stated on Friday that he was en route to Omaha to turn himself in to the authorities. Obviously, that has not come to fruition.
