On Tuesday, ESPN announced that the Xavier Musketeers of the Big East Conference will be one of eight teams participating in the 2014 Wooden Legacy.
The Musketeers join the Princeton Tigers, UTEP Miners, San Diego Toreros, Long Beach State 49ers, Western Michigan Broncos, San Jose State Spartans and Washington Huskies in the event that is set to take place mostly in Fullerton, California. The finals will be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
By being in this event, the Musketeers now make it 2-for-2 for the "new" Big East Conference, as the Creighton Bluejays took part in the Wooden Legacy last year. The Bluejays had a strong showing in the event, finishing within the Top 4, taking losses to the San Diego State Aztecs and George Washington Colonials.
The 2014 Wooden Legacy is set to take place from November 27-28, 2014 in Fullerton at Titan Gym, and November 30, 2014 in Anaheim.
