Villanova unanimously selected to win the Big East in Coaches' Poll

Villanova received 81/81 possible points from the nine other coaches; Georgetown finished second.

All offseason, pundits have speculated that Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats would run away with the Big East this season. The nine other coaches in the conference seem to agree, as all nine of them picked Villanova to finish first in the conference Wednesday at Big East Media Day.

Villanova is returning four of their five starters from last season; three of whom are on the Preseason All-Big East First or Second Teams. First-Teamer, forward JayVaughn Pinkston, and Second-Teamer, guard Darrun Hilliard, both averaged 14 points per game last season for the Wildcats.
