The Xavier Musketeers added to their growing list of offers for the 2022 class on Tueday.
Head coach Travis Steele and his staff sent an offer to Class of 2022 guard Chase Cormier. Cormier, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, tweeted the news of his offer on his personal account:
Blessed and Honored to receive an offer from Xavier University! Thanks to Coach Hayes and Coach Steele! ⚔️ #AGTG pic.twitter.com/H6i4pOKfqT

Cormier is rated very favorably in the Class of 2022. Per 247Sports Composite, he ranks as a four-star recruit, while listed as a three-star on their standalone arnkings. He ranks 125th in the nation right now in a pretty heavy class, and obviously has room to crack the Top 100. He also currently sits 19th amongst all combo guards in 2022, a class which is currently led by five-star recruit Amari Bailey of Sierra Canyon.
Lastly, he’s currently a Top 10 recruit in the state of Georgia. Cormier ranks eight in the Peach State, trailing talented players like five-star point guard Scoota Henderson, who ranks as the best recruit in Georgia at the moment.
Per Verbal Commits, Xavier is just the latest to offer Cormier, joining a host of schools who are in on him. Those programs include the Winthrop Eagles, Florida Gators, Kennesaw State Owls and Elon Phoenix. Florida was the most recent to offer Cormier, so it’s clear now with UF and Xavier offering him, he’s getting attention from the high-major programs now.
As far as Xavier goes, they now have 41 open offers in the Class of 2022 according to their Verbal Commits page.
