Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree is staying close to his Philadelphia roots this fall. Graduating from Neumann-Goretti High School, the 6'8'' forward is headed west from the City of Brotherly Love into the Main Line to join Villanova's squad.

Lauded as a four-star recruit by ESPN, Cosby-Roundtree has been widely held as a top-ranking prospect at the local and national level. Before committing to Villanova, Cosby-Roundtree was linked to Syracuse and a number of Philadelphia-area schools, including Temple and Saint Joseph's.

Ending his senior year averaging 15.9 points and 11.5 rebounds, Cosby-Roundtree's domineering court presence has helped Neumann-Goretti maintain their status as state basketball champions for the past four years. In the 2017 PIAA 3A state final, Cosby-Roundtree put up 15 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Wildcats, Cosby-Roundtree is bringing a tenacious attitude and a high-ceiling skill set ready to be further sharpened. Apart from his obvious height advantage (a welcome boost to 'Nova's roster), the Philly native displays a knack for finding space underneath the post to splash away buckets.

Since the graduation of Daniel Ochefu in 2016, and most recently Darryl Reynolds, Villanova has been searching for their go-to big man in the paint. While Cosby-Roundtree will likely take a backseat to the long-awaited debut of Omari Spellman in regards to game time this season, Cosby-Roundtree nevertheless provides a defensive stronghold with offensive spark.

Even smothered in the post, Cosby-Roundtree manages to swiftly create shot space and reach the rim with ease. His on-point positioning, paired with his shooting vigor, allude to the creation of a strong Wildcats player.
