Georgetown has carried over the momentum from the commitment of 2017 top-40 point guard Tremont Waters by landing 2017 SF Antwan Walker. Walker announced his commitment at 10am on Tuesday at Hargrave Military Academy where he is doing a post-graduate year. Walker is described by ESPN’s Scouting Report as “a very versatile forward with wide-ranging physical tools, a budding skill set and a typically high motor who was a young, late bloomer in high school and is only just beginning to put all the pieces together.”
Walker is a native of Washington, DC and attended HD Woodson where he was named the D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association player of the year before opting to take a post-grad year and become a member of the class of 2017. Walker also held offers from the likes of Cincinnati, DePaul, Georgia Tech, NC State, Saint Louis and Virginia Tech, among others. Walker’s commitment means the Hoyas have one more open scholarship for the 2017-18 season.
