Villanova's Jalen Brunson and Georgetown's LJ Peak will be representing the Big East in the 2015 USA Basketball U-19 Championship, USA Basketball announced Monday.
Brunson, from Lincolnshire, Illinois, is a five-star point guard heading to Villanova in the fall. He has already racked up quite the list of accolades, as he is one of the best high school basketball players in Illinois history.
Peak, a Georgetown sophomore, was a valuable asset for the Hoyas down low last season. In 25.3 minutes per game, he averaged 7.9 points and 2.3 rebounds.
The Big East has one more connection to the U19 team, as Providence coach Ed Cooley is an assistant under head coach Sean Miller.
