While some Big East teams are still looking to fill out their 2016 rosters, Butler is already focused on the class of 2017.
The Bulldogs opened their class today with the commitment of 2017 guard Cooper Neese, as reported by the Indianapolis Star's David Woods.
Breaking: Cloverdale's Cooper Neese has committed to #Butler. First recruit in 2017 class.

Neese is from Cloverdale, Indiana, a small town about 50 miles southwest of Indianapolis. Neese also held offers from Ball State, Evansville, and Indiana State.
Per the Indianapolis Star's recruit rankings, Neese is the 7th best Indiana recruit in the class of 2017. He averaged 17.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in his sophomore season.
Per Verbal Commits, the only point guards Butler will have on the roster to open the 2017-18 season are 2016 commits Howard Washington and Kamar Baldwin, so the Bulldogs are certainly looking to build depth at the position.
There isn't too much available on Neese in terms of highlight videos, but below is a video of Neese faking out a defender and draining a shot.
