Former St. John's Red Storm forward JaKarr Sampson worked out on Wednesday for the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Brewster Academy head coach Jason Smith.

Sampson, a 21-year old 6-foot-7 forward from Akron, Ohio joined Syracuse's C.J. Fair in the workout session for the Los Angeles-based franchise. Currently ranked 77th on DraftExpress' Top 100, Sampson has recently seen his workload increase. On June 13, Sampson replaced former Duke Blue Devils guard Rodney Hood at a workout for the Sacramento Kings.

This is the second time that Sampson and the Clippers have been connected to each other. In May, Sampson took part in a "mini camp" run by the Clippers along with several other NBA Draft prospects. The Clippers, though, have only one pick in the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft on June 26, 2014 at pick number 28, so there is no telling whether or not this means that they will be selecting him in the NBA Draft, or possibly signing him if he were to go without beings elected.
