The news goes from bad to worse for the Creighton Bluejays in the wake of their 75-69 loss at the hands of the Xavier Musketeers.
During the contest, redshirt freshman guard Isaiah Zierden suffered a right knee injury that pushed him to the sidelines for the remainder of the game. According to the Creighton Bluejays' official Twitter, the diagnosis is not good.
Zierden, a native of St. Louis Park, Minn., suffered a dislocated patellar tendon in his right knee, and will be out indefinitely due to this injury.
When the Bluejays travel to Washington, D.C. for their matchup with the Georgetown Hoyas, Zierden is scheduled to undergo an MRI for further evaluation on this injury.
This season, Zierden has been one of Creighton's role players. With a usage rate of 15.7 percent, the redshirt freshman guard is averaging 3.3 points per game, 0.9 assists per game, and a FG% of 38.3 in 11.1 minutes per game.
