QB Jeff Godfrey seeks return to UCF
There's a chance Jeff Godfrey might play in the Big East in 2013 after all.
The sophomore QB, who originally quit UCF and sought a transfer after a bad 2011 campaign, has returned to campus and met with George O'Leary, seeking reinstatement to the team.
Guess he couldn't find a place that would take him. But a return does not mean he will start for sure. He has competition for the 2012 starter job, including Missouri transfer Tyler Gabbert, younger broither of the Jaguars' Blaine Gabbert.
Senior former starter Rob Calabrese also wants the job back. He lost the job to Godfrey for good after blowing out his knee in a wildcat TD against Marshall in 2010
