Boise State And Memphis Record Big Victories

It was a mixed day for the schools that will be playing football in the Big East Conference in the near future.

Boise St. (9-2) defeated Colorado St. (3-8) 42-14 on the blue turf of Bronco Stadium in Boise. The Rams were down 42-0 before scoring two late touchdowns.

Navy (7-4) defeated Texas State (3-7) at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

Memphis (3-8) earned its second consecutive win beating UAB (3-8) 46-9 At Legion Field in Birmingham. Brandon Hays ran for 127 years and three touchdowns.

Central Florida (8-3) fell to the Tulsa (9-2) 23-21 at Chapman Stadium in Tulsa. Both teams brought 6-0 conference records into the game as leaders of their respective divisions. Knights’ quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 169 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked four times.

Houston (4-7) staged a fierce comeback to tie Marshall (5-6) at 41 with 1:18 remaining but allowed the Thundering Herd at 45-yard field goal to steal the victory 44-41 at Edwards Stadium in Huntington, W.V.

SMU (5-6) fell to Rice (5-6) 36-14 at Rice Stadium in Houston.
