Butch Jones has been coy about who would start at quarterback against Temple today. After benching starter Munchie Legaux last week in the second half against Syracuse, Jones has stated that Legaux would battle this week with not only Brendon Kay, his replacement from last week, but also Jordan Luallen. After not tipping his hand all week, Cincinnati.com is reporting that Jones has decided to bench Legaux and will start Kay in his place for today's game against Temple. Bill Koch writes:

Butch Jones made it official today. Brendon Kay will make his first career start today at Temple after Munchie Legaux started UC’s first eight games at quarterback. Kay replaced the struggling Legaux last week late in the third quarter last week against Syracuse and sparked the Bearcats to a 35-24 victory. He has completed 9 of 13 passes in his UC career for 95 yards and one touchdown in six appearances.

Jones told reporters earlier this week that he also liked the running threat that Luallen added, so while Kay will get the start today, don't be surprised to see Luallen injected into the game in place for a change of pace.
