Three Big East games highlight the schedule today. Rutgers hosts UConn, Temple hosts USF, and tonight, Cincinnati hosts Miami (OH).

It's another Saturday of Big East football. Louisville is off this week, while Syracuse and Pittsburgh played last night. That leaves us with just three Big East football games today, two of which kickoff in just a few minutes. At noon, Rutgers is hosting a blackout game when UConn comes to town. The Scarlet Knights are looking to improve to 2-0 in the Big East and move up in the polls, now that they're ranked in both polls. UConn, meanwhile, is looking for some consistency after losing at Western Michigan and sneaking by Buffalo last week. Also of note, starting running back Lyle McCombs will not start today's game after being arrested last night. He is still expected to play.

Also at noon, Temple returns to Big East play for the first time since 2004. The Owls will host an equally struggling South Florida team that is already in danger of not making a bowl game. The Bulls played better last week in a loss to Florida State, but, not playing well from week to week has been the hallmark of the Bulls over the past two seasons. The heat on Skip Holtz will be immeasurable if South Florida somehow manages to lose today's game.

Finally, tonight, Cincinnati hosts one of its longest standing rivals in Miami (OH). It might be an old rivalry with its roots in the geography of Ohio, but, I don't expect this to be a competitive game. Cincinnati is looking squarely at being 6-0 heading into that Friday game at Louisville, and it starts tonight with an easy win over a struggling Miami (OH) team.
