SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Top 25 Rankings "
Like we said last week, things are starting to matter now. Two more unbeaten teams went down when Boise State blew a late lead against TCU at home and Stanford was run out of the stadium in the second half against Oregon. We're getting into crunch time with just three more weeks of the regular season remaining. Here are a couple of scattered thoughts on the poll:
- As has been case for several weeks now, it's just about impossible to rank teams after about 15. I can't recall a year where I felt there just weren't that many good teams, but in my mind there's no doubt that the top 10 or so are significantly better than the rest of the country.
- How great is a potential Houston-Southern Miss Conference USA title game going to be?
- We've got Alabama ahead of Oregon in the race of the one-loss teams, but we think when it all comes down, if Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State at the end of the season, the Sooners will leapfrog both teams to play for the BCS title. That would be one way to avoid a pair of rematches (LSU-Oregon and LSU-Alabama) but it would deny us a chance to see that Oklahoma State offense, identical to the West Virginia offense, take a crack at LSU in the title game.
- The one question I have as we head toward the finish line: what happens to Arkansas, sitting at number six in our ballot, if it beats LSU and then a fringe top ten team in Georgia in the SEC title game to end the season? Or would it even make it to the SEC title game in a three way tie scenario?
- We said Notre Dame was good at the beginning of the year and we're happy to welcome them back to the top 25.

What about if Houston runs the table?
and Ok State loses? Would Houston get a shot at a NC? Probably not but they should and their offense could give LSU fits
