The Xavier Musketeers picked up a commit for 2020 on Sunday. Point guard Dwon Odom of Alpharetta, Georgia committed to the Musketeers, giving new head coach Travis Steele his second commit since taking the job.

The newest addition to the Musketeers program announced his commitment on his Twitter account.

As we mentioned, this is the second commit for Steele as Xavier’s head coach. The first came a few months ago in the form of Class of 2019 wing Elias King. Odom is the first 2020 commit for Xavier and the first 2020 commit for any Big East program thus far.

Prior to committing to Xavier, Odom held offers from Florida, Georgia, TCU Horned Frogs, Georgia Tech and Virginia. Rutgers and Virginia Tech had also offered Odom, as well.

Dwon Odom currently attends St. Francis High School down in Alpharetta, Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Odom ranks 124th in the nation at this moment in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Among all point guards, he ranks 21st at this point in time. Lastly, out of all the Georgia recruits out there, Odom slides in at 10th. The Peach State is currently headed by Anthony Edwards, Brandon Boston and Walker Kessler.
