The Xavier Musketeers have picked up their second commit for the 2019 class and the first in Travis Steele’s tenure. Elias King, a 6-foot-7, 185-pound wing out of Snellville, Georgia committed to Xavier on Wednesday afternoon through his Twitter account.
Blessed and thankful to say that I will be committing to Xavier University ✊ pic.twitter.com/stLBqhN8uI

King ranks as one of the top players in The Peach State for 2019. He currently ranks 3rd in the 2019 class behind Kentucky Wildcats commit Ashton Hagans of Newton High School in Covington (who may reclassify into 2018) and uncommitted wing Isaac Okoro out of McEachern High School in Powder Springs.
King also ranks among the best small forward in the country, sitting 15th in the class. The class is, of course, headed by Precious Achiuwa as well as Scottie Lewis and other five-stars including Trendon Watford, Christian Brown and Wendell Moore, among others. In the nation, King ranks a hearty 60th and is a four-star player per 247Sports Composite.
As mentioned, Elias is the second commit for Xavier in 2019. He joins fellow four-star and combo guard Samari Curtis of Xenia, Ohio, who committed back in February. Their class currently ranks second in the Big East behind the Villanova Wildcats (who else?) and 7th in the nation. Three Big East teams currently occupy the Top 10, including Villanova, Xavier and the Butler Bulldogs.
He was previously committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, but decommitted shortly after Mark Fox’s departure.
