The penultimate edition of the Top 25 rankings are out. The Big East has two representatives in the Top 5 and one in the Top 25 of the USA TODAY poll.

Your favorite conference’s favorite conference has its two best sitting at No. 3 and No. 4 in the AP Poll and No. 4 and No. 5 in the Coaches Poll. Those teams, of course, are the Xavier Musketeers and Villanova Wildcats. Xavier achieves its highest ranking ever with its standing at 3rd, but still remains outside of the Top 3 in the Coaches Poll. The Virginia Cavaliers, Michigan State Spartans and Duke Blue Devils hold those spots over for the moment.

Speaking of the Coaches Poll, the Creighton Bluejays finessed their way into the mix. The Jays are now seated No. 23 in the poll following their upset win over Villanova over the weekend in Omaha. Creighton couldn’t quite finagle their way into the AP Poll, as that poll is a bit more stingy. By vote count, the Bluejays sit 30th, and are behind the Butler Bulldogs, who sit 27th.

Aforementioned Butler is 29th in the USA TODAY poll this week. Apart from them, the only other team from the conference to receive votes in either poll are the Seton Hall Pirates. The Pirates received three votes in the AP Top 25 and two votes in the USA TODAY Poll.
