So, you drafted James Farr!
NBA Draft 2016
Welp, this was certainly unexpected. But let's see what we can drum up for you!
Farr was and is fringe (very, very fringe) prospect heading into the draft. A big body with a nasty attitude (in the best way), but the big man from Xavier is a space eater and a board beater.
A wide body at 6'10, 250, Farr uses his mass well to seal and box out opposing big men and get to the glass. Most of his 10.7 points per last year came from put backs and garbage buckets, but there's a place for this! Farr greatly improved his free throw shooting last season, upping his percentage from a putrid 47 percent to a more than acceptable 73 percent on three attempts per contest.
It'd certainly be surprised if Farr were drafted, but I could definitely envision him getting a summer league invite from some team looking to fill out there roster. Farr has a great attitude and a good body, and if he shows the foot speed to switch onto twos and threes he could stick around as the fifteenth man on some roster or land himself a spot in the the D-League. Age is a factor with Farr, who will be 24 in November.
You wonder how much improvement there is to be had, but if his jump from 2014-15 to 2015-16 is any indication, there's still plenty of room for growth from James Farr.
