Schrage, an Indiana grad, spent eight years at Stanford.

The vacancy left at Butler by Michael Lewis' departure for Nebraska has been filled, per CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

Schrage spent the past eight seasons at Stanford alongside fellow former Duke assistant Johnny Dawkins. Prior to his time at Stanford, Schrage was Duke's Director of Basketball Operations from 2002-2008.

Heading to Butler is a homecoming of sorts for Schrage, who graduated from Indiana in 1998. He worked as a student manager under Bob Knight all four seasons.

Schrage has been a high-quality recruiter for Stanford, landing notable names such as Chasson Randle, the program's all-time leading scorer.
