The Hoyas and Orange will meet on December 17 according to CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein who reported the news on Wednesday.
The Syracuse Orange and Georgetown Hoyas represent the signature Big East rivalry. For many years during the Big East's era of dominance, the Orange and Hoyas battled it out as not only two of the Big East's best teams but two of the nation's best as well.

In last season's meeting, the Hoyas one-upped the Orange at home in D.C. so expect 'Cuse to be out for revenge this time around as a capacity crowd will surely be in attendance at the historic Carrier Dome for this collision between two former Big East foes.
Syracuse leads the all-time series vs. Georgetown 43-39.
