As we continue the doldrums of the offseason, details of nonconference schedules are beginning to trickle out. In addition to finding out on Thursday that Xavier would be playing Utah next season, the Butler Bulldogs will also be headed to Salt Lake to open a home-and-home with the Utes, per a release from the school.
As the release notes, the Bulldogs will travel to Salt Lake City on November 28, and the Utes will head to Hinkle during the 2017-18 season.
This is the first Pac-12 matchup for Butler since they faced Washington State in the 2013 Old Spice Classic.
The Bulldogs play in the Las Vegas Invitational from November 23-25, so the timing of the Utah game makes a lot of sense. Butler now has (potentially) four nonconference games remaining to be scheduled, per our friends at White and Blue Review.
