Like Kris Jenkins before him, Josh Hart will be returning to the Villanova Wildcats for the 2016-17 season, the program announced on Tuesday.
The accomplished guard, who helped aid Villanova to their first National Championship. this past April, stewed in the waters of the NBA Draft for quite a while. However, Hart has decided to hold off on his pro prospects for now and has removed himself from consideration for the Association, and instead will trek back to 'Nova.
Hart's readdition, so to speak, makes Villanova look downright nasty for next season as they look to defend their championship. Hart will likely join Jenkins, Jalen Brunson, Phil Booth, and perhaps highly touted 2016 recruit Omari Spellman in the starting lineup when the season begins this coming November. '
Nova will still have the presence of Darryl Reynolds, Mikal Bridges, and Fordham transfer Eric Paschall coming off the bench too along with Dylan Painter and 2015 recruits Donte DiVincenzo and Tim Delaney, who missed all of last year due to a hip injury.
Suffice it to say, 'Nova should be in the preseason Top 5 and will be a force to be reckoned with, once again, in the Big East Conference.
