Friday night, the Georgetown basketball team gathered for their yearly postseason banquet. Things were going according to the status quo at first, and then Bradley Hayes dropped a bombshell.

Hayes, who burst onto the scene last season, his first as a starter, missed most of February with a broken hand before returning for the Big East tournament.

The seven-footer averaged 8.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Hoyas last season.
