3 things to watch
1. Off the rebound: Seton Hall has flourished this year after losses. Last season, they were 5-9 following losses, with two losing streaks of three and a lengthy losing streak of six games as well. This time around, the Pirates are 4-2 following losses with just two sets of back-to-back losses. The Pirates will look to avoid a slip-up on Saturday going into the BIG EAST Tournament when they take on the Blue Demons and avoid moving to 4-3 following losses this season.
2. Eli Cain: The freshman guard for DePaul was under the spotlight earlier in the week, and the Willingboro, New Jersey native delivered another solid performance against the Villanova Wildcats. Cain will look to make it seven out of the last eight games that he's scored in double figures Saturday when he takes the floor against the Pirates, and 10 of the last 13, having begun this stretch back on January 17 against the Creighton Bluejays. Cain has been quite a bright spot for a struggling Blue Demons squad this year, and he'll look to shine bright again in Rosemont in the final game of the season.
3. Finish strong: Neither DePaul nor Seton Hall has fared well in season finales recently. The Pirates haven't won their final game of the year since the 2010-11 season, while the Blue Demons last picked up a victory in the final game of the year in 2011-12. Pulling the curtain back further, DePaul has just two victories since the 2006-07 season at the conclusion of their schedule, while Seton Hall has merely three. Suffice it to say, "finish strong" should be the motto that these two squads bring with them into Saturday's matchup.
