At halftime of the first Sweet 16 game, Villanova leads Miami 43-37.

Here's everything you need to know about what happened during the first twenty minutes in Louisville.

Miami

  • The Hurricanes shot 7-of-11 on 3-pointers in the half, good for 21 of their 37 points.
  • Angel Rodriguez has been the catalyst for Miami, leading the team with 10 points and five assists.
  • Sheldon McClellan and Davon Reed each picked up two early fouls in the half.

Villanova

  • Ryan Arcidiacono leads the Wildcats with 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting. This included a crazy shot he pulled off early in the first half.
  • The Villanova defense forced 8 turnovers in the half, which they converted into 14 points.
  • Daniel Ochefu has established his post presence once Miami took Tonye Jekiri out of the game. Ochefu has eight points, converting on a few terrific inside moves.
  • Kris Jenkins has 11 points, making 3-of-4 attempts from downtown, including one from the freaking LOGO.
