Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

One half gone here in St. Louis, and Xavier is rolling over 15-seeded Weber State, holding a 34-23 lead after the first 20 minutes.

Let's get you caught up on the first half:

Xavier

  • James Farr has been a force inside. He leads the game with eight points and eleven rebounds so far.
  • Kaiser Gates was a sparkplug off the bench for Chris Mack's crew. He's a perfect 3-for-3 on the night with seven points.
  • Turnovers have kept Xavier from pulling away. They've coughed up the rock seven times, but the Wildcats have only converted five points off of turnovers.

Weber State

  • The Wildcats have struggled to get going against X's man-to-man defense. They're shooting 8-29 from the field, and just 2-12 from beyond the arc.
  • Richaud Gittens leads Weber State with six points.
  • Big Sky conference MVP Joel Bolomboy has five points and five rebounds, but is shooting just 2-8 from the field and is -10 on the floor tonight.
