Seton Hall Pirates forward Angel Delgado and Butler Bulldogs guard/forward Roosevelt Jones are the co-winners of this week's Big East Coast Bias Player of the Week award.
For the first time in the award's short history, we had a split in the voting. Both Delgado and Jones received four votes amongst the 13 votes cast by the BECB staff this week. Neither player pushed ahead of one another in the allotted time, so as a result, it's a split decision.
Jones and Delgado were both deserving of the honor after having terrific weeks of play. The versatile Butler hooper recorded a triple double in a win over St. John's, scoring 10, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists on Saturday. Delgado, meanwhile, posted 19 points and 13 rebounds in both of Seton Hall's victories this past week over Marquette and Georgetown as he continues to go on a tear.
Other players who received votes this week were Darryl Reynolds (Villanova), Trevon Bluiett (Xavier) and BIG EAST Player of the Week Kelan Martin (Butler).
Congrats to both Angel and Roosevelt for receiving the award.
