Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

DePaul

~ The Blue Demons, aiming for their third season sweep in their tenure in the BIG EAST, are playing well despite trailing at the half. As a team, they're collectively shooting 44.7 percent from the field, 50 percent from the 3-point line and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. They lead in points in the paint 18-12, bench points 13-8, and have evened up in the rebounding department 17-17.

~ Eli Cain, New Jersey's own, leads all DePaul scorers at the half with 10 points and has not missed a single shot from the field or the free throw line.

~ Tommy Hamilton has four points and a team-high five boards at the half. Darrick Wood meanwhile has seven points, three boards, an assist and two steals. In all, six different Blue Demons have put up points today.

Providence

~ The leader, to no surprise for Providence, is Ben Bentil who has 12 points at the end of the first half. Bentil is 6-for-6 from the free throw line, and has amassed five rebounds, three assists and a block after playing all 20 minutes.

~ Kyron Cartwright has played well this afternoon. Cartwright scored 10 points in the first half, and while his shooting is off, he has done well at the free throw line, shooting 6-for-7. In all, the Friars have a free throw percentage of 92.3 percent which is arguably the difference thus far in the game.

~ Kris Dunn, battling an illness, has played just five minutes. The do-it-all guard logged two points on his only field goal of the half.

~ The Friars have scored nine points off nine turnovers that their opponent has committed and lead in second chance points, 10-6.
