After 20 minutes at the Verizon Center, the Butler Bulldogs lead the Georgetown Hoyas 46-37.

Here's everything you need to know about the first half.

Butler

  • After scoring the first 12 points of the game for the Bulldogs, Kellen Dunham hit a four-point play in the final minute of the half to give him a game-leading 16 points.
  • Kelan Martin continues his stretch of strong play, recording five points, five rebounds, two steals, and two assists.
  • The Bulldogs have only two turnovers to Georgetown's 12.

Georgetown

  • D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera leads the Hoyas with 10 points.
  • LJ Peak and Jessie Govan each picked up two fouls in the first half.
  • The Hoyas hold a narrow 19-14 edge in the rebounding battle.
  • As noted above, Georgetown has 12 turnovers. They need to cut down on those in the second half.
