2017 four-star center Dajour Dickens commits to Providence

New, comment

Dickens is Providence's first 2017 commit.

After erroneous reports linked him to the Providence Friars last week, 2017 four-star big man Dajour Dickens officially committed to the Friars on Friday.

Dickens, who hails from Hampton, Virginia, is the second-best player in the state of Virginia in the class of 2017, per ESPN. At 6'10", he brings some much-needed size to Providence's roster going forward.

Dickens had offers from other schools across the country, including Creighton.

As it stands right now, Providence only has one roster spot left for 2017, however, that doesn't take into account the fact that Ben Bentil could be NBA bound after next season.

Below is Dickens' mixtape from his sophomore season, featuring some dunks and post moves.
