The Butler Bulldogs took a debilitating 75-69 loss to the Marquette Golden Eagles 10 days ago. Thanks to a career day from star freshman Henry Ellenson, the Golden Eagles, seventh in the BIG EAST standings, picked up a win that sent the Bulldogs reeling.
But since then, Butler has bounced back in a big way. The 'Dawgs won their last two games over Georgetown and St. John's, with their offense lighting up the statsheet in ways we have not seen since the beginning of the year. At 16-7 and 5-6 in conference play, the Bulldogs are on the cusp of making the NCAA Tournament with a big run necessary the rest of the way.
They'll have to start that run against some stiff competition. Currently on a four-game winning streak, the Seton Hall Pirates are now up to third in the BIG EAST with a 17-6 record and 7-4 mark in conference. Their win over the Georgetown Hoyas was huge, as the Pirates showed once again that they were able to tussle with some of the more talented teams in the conference. They might not be at the level of Xavier and Providence, but Seton Hall has shown that they're the leader of the pack of the middle of the pack.
A berth in the NCAA Tournament - what would be their first in 10 years - is staring them in the face if they keep up their stellar play and all goes well the rest of the way.

3 things to watch for
1. Seton Hall's deadly combo: It's easy to see that Seton Hall's top two players during their winning streak are Angel Delgado and Isaiah Whitehead. Although Whitehead leads the team in scoring with 16.2 points per game, it was Delgado's night against Georgetown. He scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the Pirates win. He has been on fire during this winning streak as he has scored double digits in all four games. It's time to see who steps up for the Pirates against Butler.
2. Top offense vs. top defense: One of the main reasons for Seton Hall's rise this season is due to their suffocating defense which is near top 50 in the country. The Pirates only give up 66.3 points per game, good for 53rd in the country. They will have one of their toughest tests as they face a Butler offense that can score and can score in a hurry. The Bulldogs score around 81.5 points per game, good for 24th in the country, and have scored almost 90 points in their last two games. This will be a fun matchup to watch.
3. Who can keep their winning streak going?: Seton Hall will be looking to make it five games in a row as they look to make some ground on both Villanova and Xavier while Butler will be looking to get their third in a row as they look to climb from the bottom half of the standings. Something's gotta give, and we'll find out exactly what on Wednesday night.
