Sunday morning, we learned that Villanova Wildcats center Daniel Ochefu would miss the Wildcats' meeting with the St. John's Red Storm due to a concussion suffered in practice on Friday.
While Villanova prevailed in that matchup, the impact felt by the loss of the big man was one felt in spades as 'Nova struggled mightily to score in the first half of play.
One day later, prospects of Ochefu being in the lineup against the Creighton Bluejays look slim.
From VU Hoops comes the news that on Jay Wright's radio show Monday night, the head coach for the Wildcats said that Ochefu is "definitely" out for the matchup against the Bluejays and, according to the interview, possibly the matchup against Providence on Saturday as well.
We'll be sure to update you when the news is available and out there about Ochefu's condition for the matchup against the Friars.
