Creighton completely obliterates Longwood 113-58

Dunks and threes will destroy your weakest enemy

NCAA Basketball: Longwood at Creighton Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

This game was over before it began.

Longwood had six days to prepare to get outclasses, six whole days to study film and realize that they didn’t have a dog in this fight. They possessed neither the shooting ability or size to keep up with the Jays, which came as no surprise considering an illiterate turtle could’ve determined this outcome if it’d been whispered the Kenpom ratings before the game.

I guess at 10-0 we can all be thankful that no one got hurt in this one. Now the Jays will have 8 days off to take final exams and prepare for the culty personality that Oral Roberts encompasses.

I don’t know what to tell you about this. Everyone who was anyone scored a bucket, from the Huffs of Cole to the Junior Harrells of Ronnie. It was a bloodbath, a perfect trouncing of a far inferior team, an execution of brutality from beyond the three point line with a side of dunks.

Mo Watson had a double double in points and assists by the 16 minute mark in the second half. Kobe Paras and Davion Mintz played a breadth of minutes in the first half. Justin Patton and Cole Huff played sparingly, saving their legs.

Longwood was just bad and outmatched.

Terence Crawford showed up tonight. He punches a guy Saturday night, is an Omaha native, and really enjoys the Creighton Bluejays.

The volleyball team was/is playing right now. I’m just going to tell you about that for I know not what else to say. Perhaps you wanted a more detailed report of an absolute slaughter but I’m not going to give it to you. Creighton Volleyball currently leads 16-11 in the fourth set in the Sweet 16 against Michigan. From the looks of it, Lauren Smith is hitting really well, a .421 clip, as the Jays are facing a two set deficit. They’ll need her talents to come back and win this thing.

Kobe Paras just dunked the ball. At the end of this article I’ll include a series of highlights provided by the Creighton basketball twitter account. It’ll be nice, a lot nicer than wading through this ocean of text. This is boring, don’t you think? Man, I shouldn’t have had so much coffee today. I should’ve saved it for next week. I have to go grocery shopping soon. I need bread, juice, probably more coffee.

Creighton just won the fourth set and will go on to the fifth. It’s going to be nuts, luckily I have statbroadcast and a video feed that’s 2 minutes behind. I’ve rethought the highlight thing, now I’m just going to intersperse them throughout the article. It’ll help your load times. Maybe this won’t be the most mobile-savvy article, but we’ll see.

Now if just feels like college again, adding filler for no reason to bulk up a piece of work I don’t have a lot of passion writing. Creighton has taken a 2-1 advantage in the fifth set over Michigan. This is going to be so exciting.

Alright, 26.8 seconds left and Creighton leads 113-58. Kobe Paras just scored on a jumper in the lane. Now it’s over. That’s probably a good thing.

Stats!!!!
