For the second time this season, the two Big East weekly award winners have been from the same team.
Three weeks ago, it was Creighton’s Marcus Foster and Justin Patton taking home some hardware.
Monday, it was Butler’s Kelan Martin and Kamar Baldwin, the Big East announced.
The Bulldogs, like most Big East teams, only played one game this week. That game, however, was a mighty significant one, as Butler defeated #9 Indiana in the Crossroads Classic.
Martin led the way for Butler in the victory, scoring 28 points on an efficient 9-16 from the field. He also tied his career-high with five three pointers made.
Baldwin also played a big role in Butler’s victory over Indiana, scoring a season (and career) high 14 points, and leading Butler with five rebounds.
