Hello!
It’s December 1. Can you believe that?
We had a busy night last night. So you know what that means, right?
That’s right: A light day ahead! Stay tuned here to BECB for more.
MU used #BEATEMDOWN! Super effective! (Anonymous Eagle)
If there was still any doubt left in the eventual outcome with a halftime score of 56-18, Jajuan Johnson broke the ice on the second half with a three pointer of his own to push the lead past 40. The lead maxed out at 48 three times in the second half, including with just 30 seconds left on two free throws from Rowsey, and that’s about how that one went.
JP is at the top of the class (Banners on the Parkway)
The Fantastic Mr. Myles Fox Morrissey leads the team in minutes and steal% and is second in ORtg, assist rate, and TO rate. He also draws a ton of fouls and has hit 29 of his 30 free throw attempts. Basically, if there's something a person can do on the basketball court, JP has a tool in his belt to at least take a shot at it.
Hoyas blow out Coppin State (Casual Hoya)
Georgetown took care of business Wednesday night, blowing the doors off of lowly Coppin State en route to a comfortable 96-44 win. Rodney Pryor scored 30 points to lead Georgetown, his fourth time eclipsing 25 in eight games as a Hoya. But the story of the game was the sustained energy with which Georgetown played.
Mess with the Bullock, you get the horns (Friar Basketball)
Bullock scored a career high 36 points by connecting on 5-8 from 3 point range and getting to the free throw line for 11 attempts in his latest scoring outburst this season.
Okay we couldn’t post the same joke twice (PCBB 1917)
Rodney Bullock went off tonight for a career-high 36 points and looked the most confident in a Friar uniform in awhile. Bullock’s previous career-high was 27 points. He got 19 of those points in the first half. Bullock also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Perspective from the Red Storm stands (Rumble in the Garden)
After a miss or two by the front line, the guards seem to feel that they take the game into their own hands. - Anonymous Season Ticket Holder
Profiling... The Seton Hall Sign Mafia (SHU Hoops)
After years of tepid support and homogeneous flavor, a sect of Seton Hall’s student section is bringing a unique identity to the equation. If you can remember back to the opening years of Prudential Center when Bobby Gonzalez was in charge of the Seton Hall Pirate ship, you’ll notice the stark contrast between the Hall’s student section then and now.
Jays wrangled the Bulls (White & Blue Review)
Greg McDermott continues to push back at questions about his team’s perceived struggles in the first half. The way he sees it, the 10th-ranked Creighton Bluejays are keeping up a 40-minute pace that their opponents have only been able to match for half the time.
