As most of the conference heads for various destinations for Feast Week tournaments, the DePaul Blue Demons remain at home and welcome the Missouri State Bears to Rosemont on Wednesday night.
The Blue Demons come into the game at 2-1 after picking up a home victory against Milwaukee on Sunday. The Bears, meanwhile, are 3-0. However, DePaul is the best team they’ve faced so far this season.

Players to Watch
Missouri State - Austin Ruder
The junior guard was a “healthy scratch” in Missouri State’s 100-27 victory over D-II Fontbonne. However, that was more likely than not a predetermined thing. In Missouri State’s first two games, Ruder shot 10-17 from beyond the arc. If he plays, DePaul will have to know where he is on the perimeter at all times.
Missouri State - Alize Johnson
The 6’9 forward comes into the game grabbing 8.3 rebounds per game this season. DePaul has had an awful time keeping teams off the glass so far. Put these together and the Blue Demons could be in for a long night containing Johnson.
DePaul - Eli Cain
Cain has been DePaul’s best offensive threat so far this year, and it’s not particularly close. He’s surpassed 20 points in all three games this season, and has been incredibly efficient, as well, shooting 60% over the three contests.
Cain has also been incredibly accurate from long range, at 10-15 (.667) on the season.
DePaul - Billy Garrett, Jr.
Garrett struggled against Robert Morris and Rutgers, but had a 20 point, six rebound, and six assist day in the win over Milwaukee. Garrett needs to be able to consistently find his shot so he can help Cain with some of the brunt of the Blue Demons’ scoring.
