As seen above, the Seton Hall Pirates are among the choices for Duval, a top-flight point guard originally from the state of New Jersey. Duval currently attends the famed IMG Academy in Florida but is a native of Newark, where of course the Pirates play.
Seton Hall is joined by Kansas, Duke, Baylor and Arizona, a couple of heavyweights to say the least, as Duval’s group of five schools. Villanova had previously been in the running along with a few others, but ultimately didn’t make the cut.
After this year the Pirates will certainly have a loaded backcourt with Myles Powell in the fold as well as Dalton Soffer, Eron Gordon and fellow 2017 Myles Cale. With that said, a player of Duval’s caliber would be a welcome addition to Seton Hall and would be the best recruit Seton Hall has gotten since at least the year 2000 via 247Sports’ Recruiting Services.
