Big East Rookie Report: October 29-30

It was an exciting weekend!

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Oklahoma City Thunder Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

It was a busy weekend for the Big East rookies in the NBA. Let’s jump right in.

Saturday

Isaiah Whitehead - Brooklyn Nets

Whitehead saw eight minutes on the back end of a back-to-back where the Nets fell 110-108 to the Milwaukee Bucks. The former Seton Hall guard recorded three points and one assist as he continues to adjust to the next level.

Kris Dunn - Minnesota Timberwolves

Dunn had four points and four assists in nearly 20 minutes of action for Minnesota as they fell 106-103 to the Kings. He was also on the court for the final five minutes, which shows the early trust Tom Thibodeau has in the young point guard.

Sunday

Daniel Ochefu - Washington Wizards

DNP-CD

Henry Ellenson - Detroit Pistons

DNP-CD

Semaj Christon - Oklahoma City Thunder

Whew. Thought we’d have three DNPs to write about, which wouldn’t have been good. Christon played 20 minutes and did a little bit of everything. He recorded five points, two assists, and two steals as the Thunder improved to 3-0 with a 113-96 victory over the Lakers.
