Halftime Notes: DePaul at Georgetown

At the end of the first, DePaul holds a two-point lead in the Verizon Center.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

DePaul has led wire-to-wire on Georgetown in the first half. Here's what you need to know:

  • The Demons, rocking the scarlet fits today, are outshooting the Hoyas, connecting on 41.4% of their shots from the field.
  • Darrick Wood leads the team 9 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including a bomb from way outside the arc.
  • Billy Garrett has only 4 points and one shot so far, but he's been tenacious in all other aspects, playing hard on the boards and shutting down the Hoya backcourt.

  • The Hoyas are just 9-for-27 in the first half, and 6-for-16 from long range.
  • LJ Peak has been the man for Georgetown. He has 11 points and is a perfect 3-of-3, all from deep.
  • D`Vauntes Smith-Rivera is struggling from the floor. He's 1-of-5, 1-of-4 from beyond the arc.
  • Georgetown has turned the ball over 11 times in the first half. DePaul only has 5 turnovers.
