The St. John's Red Storm have been dealt a big blow prior to their upcoming matchup with the Marquette Golden Eagles, as freshman center Yankuba Sima has broken a bone in his left hand and will be out 4-6 weeks.
The report comes from the school, and via the New York Post's Zach Braziller.
Sima, who had been averaging 8.4 points and 6.8 rebounds, suffered the injury in Wednesday night's matchup vs. the Xavier Musketeers. Two days later as it turns out, the 6-foot-11 center from Girona, Spain will now be sidelined until mid-to-late February unless the rehabilitation process goes quicker than anticipated.
