Ben Bentil wins Big East Coast Bias Player of the Week award

Bentil brings the award back to Friartown.

For the second time this season, Ben Bentil of the Providence Friars is the Big East Coast Bias Player of the Week.

The Friars forward dominated the competition last week to net a near unanimous choice out of 12 votes received. The Delaware native received eight of 12 votes cast by the BECB staff this week for his performances against the Butler Bulldogs and Villanova Wildcats.

Bentil dropped 31 points in the win over 'Nova, dominating the game in the paint shooting 10-for-16 on 2-point attempts and 8-for-10 from the free throw line. The 6-foot-9 sophomore also put up 20 points in the Friars' win over Butler and shot 6-for-12 on 2-point attempts. Ben also grabbed 13 boards in the win over Villanova and seven in the victory over the Bulldogs.
