Marquette's Henry Ellenson wins BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

The big-time big man for Marquette is once again Freshman of the Week.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

For the fourth time this season, Marquette Golden Eagles power forward Henry Ellenson is the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.

Ellenson had a brilliant week of play that edged out the likes of Xavier Musketeers point guard Edmond Sumner among others who have received the award thus far. The Rice Lake, Wisconsin native scored 16 vs. St. John's and 11 vs. DePaul, and dominated the boards against the Red Storm in particular. Ellenson grabbed 18 rebounds against the Johnnies, 17 defensively, and also amassed six against the Blue Demons earlier in the week.

The performance against St. John's marked the 10th time this season that he's picked up a double-double and the 18 rebounds skate past the 15 he had vs. Presbyterian on December 27, 2015 as his season/career-high to this point.

Congrats to Ellenson on yet another terrific achievement. We have a feeling more may be in his future.
