Providence sophomore forward Ben Bentil has been named the BIG EAST Player of the Week.

Bentil thrived in Providence's two wins this week, scoring 20 points and grabbing seven rebounds against Butler, and 31 points with 13 rebounds in Providence's upset win over Villanova on Sunday. Bentil currently leads the BIG EAST in scoring at 19.8 points per game, and is fifth in rebounding with 8.2 rebounds per game, making him one of two BIG EAST players in the top 5 of both categories. Henry Ellenson is the other.
