Butler: How much of an impact will Tyler Lewis' absence have?

Considering that Lewis lost his starting spot to senior transfer Jordan Gathers in Tuesday's loss against Providence, it might not seem like a massive blow to the team, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Lewis played just 11 minutes - his season low - against the Friars, but this is a team that only goes about eight players deep on a given night. Taking away Lewis without a clear replacement, the Bulldogs are going to be playing lots of sets with Roosevelt Jones sliding over to point guard (a very typical look for them offensively, admittedly), and they'll be down a shooter offensively. Lewis has struggled from deep anyway, but there's certainly potential there, and now Gathers and Jones will be left to man Mo Watson on the defensive end. Lewis' absence isn't devastatingly important, but we can expect an exhausted Butler team with an even smaller rotation on Saturday.

Creighton: Time to get the monkey off the Bluejays' back?

The Bluejays have exceeded expectations this season, and with a 4-2 record in conference play, they've earned their seat at the table among their Big East peers after a disappointing year in 2014-15. However, when you look down their schedule, Creighton has struggled a bit to get over the hump against then-Top 25 opponents with an 0-4 record on the year. They got close just last week against Providence, a team who has now beaten Butler twice, and they'll get their fifth chance of the season against Butler on Saturday. The Bulldogs have slumped a bit whilst fighting through a brutal opening conference schedule, so if there's a time to break Creighton's Top 25 seal, it may be this weekend.
