Butler vs. Xavier halftime notes

The Big East Tip-Off Marathon has insofar been as good as advertised.

After 20 minutes at the Cintas Center, sixth-ranked Xavier leads ninth-ranked Butler, 45-35.

Butler

• Kellen Dunham, who didn't start this game, appears to have broken his cold streak. He made two threes in the first half and has eight points.
• Kelan Martin leads the Bulldogs with nine.
• Jordan Gathers, who started in place of Tyler Lewis, has three fouls. Look to see Lewis more in the second half.
• Roosevelt Jones has continued to do it all for Butler. He has seven points, five assists, and three rebounds.

Xavier

• Remy Abell has 14 points, one off his season-high of 15.
• The Musketeers are shooting 53% from the field.
• Trevon Bluiett has 11 points on 4-9 shooting.
• James Farr leads Xavier with seven rebounds.
